Christmas Celebrations and New Faces

Christmas Celebrations and New Faces

There has been a very Christmassy feel at the Hall this week. We enjoyed entertaining our local tenants. They remarked how lovely it was arriving at the beautifully lit up Hall. There was delicious mulled wine and canapes that went down a treat, and there were also carols to be enjoyed. A good time was had by all. Thank you to the Brackenborough Hotel who provided a selection of beef, fish and vegetarian canapes and mince pies. Everyone gathered around the Christmas tree and the wonderful Zero Degrees Chorus entertained us with their festive repertoire. You can find out more about them at

The tenants’ Christmas party was enjoyed by all…

…and we enjoyed the entertainment from the Zero Degrees Chorus!

Ian Gordon, who is the new Garage proprietor in the village, also came along to the tenants’ party. He is finding his feet in the community now. We have had one of the cars serviced at the garage recently and recognise how lucky we are having a mechanic just across the road. Supporting local businesses is always important.

We also welcomed our new Estate Steward this week. Mark Hatfield has joined our team and he has joined us after working on a big estate in the north of Scotland, so will be pleased to come south for warmer temperatures! Mark came to the staff Christmas dinner and the tenants’ party so we are getting to know him quickly. His hobby is building and mending Vespas!

The Christmas Eve Carol Concert in the Church (St Leonards) will definitely put us in the right frame of mind for the Christmas celebrations. The South Ormsby staff exchanged cards and gifts this week and are looking forward to the Christmas holidays.

Merry Christmas from Jon & Jan

Merry Christmas from all the Estate Team

We would all like to take this opportunity of wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
