Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland

The last few days has seen the Estate blanketed by a thick covering of snow as the so-called ‘Beast from the East’ hit Lincolnshire.

The snow that started as just flurries at the beginning of the week, turned into blizzard conditions on Wednesday, leaving between 10 to 15 cm of snow across the Estate.

The Parklands were transformed to look like a magical winter wonderland with the trees iced with white. It was very Christmas card like.

It was great to get out and capture these beautiful sights around the Parklands.

With the deep snow, followed by strong easterly winds, there have been many snow drifts across the Estate which have made some roads treacherous and impassable. Many of the team who don’t live on the Estate were unable to venture in due to the difficult driving conditions. The decision was also taken to postpone the start of the ‘Bastion in the Air’ Exhibition due to the adverse weather conditions which would make it difficult to get the exhibition to the Estate on time. The Exhibition now runs from 7th to 9th March. For more information visit our events page.
