A Week on the Estate: Cycle the Wolds, Community Garden & Our Days
Happy New Year to all our readers. Despite the bleak midwinter we’ve all endured, the solstice is behind us, the days are getting longer and we’re looking ahead to spring, summer and better times to come.
With a new lockdown kicking in, why not consider getting on your bike to beat the January blues? If you’re a keen cyclist or looking to take up the hobby, why not cycle to South Ormsby from home and incorporate one of our ‘Cycling in the Wolds’ routes into your daily exercise regime. You can find all the routes on our website.
To help blow the January cobwebs away, we recommend Linton’s Lap, a 20.5-mile route showcasing the idyllic rolling countryside of the Lincolnshire Wolds and passing through Somersby, the birthplace of Alfred, Lord Tennyson. If you’re squeamish about hills, beware of the steep climb out of Belchford.
