A Week on the Estate: Packed Weekend, Tall Tales & Team Gardening
May is almost upon us and the weather is set to warm up in time for the bank holiday weekend. The next seven days look set to be fine and dry if mostly overcast, with highs of 18C and lows of 5C. If you’re thinking ahead to the Coronation of King Charles III on 6th May, the long-range forecast indicates a warm, showery day with a chance of thunderstorms (of course!).
Spring is always a busy time around the Estate, especially so this year as we prepare for the Estate Open Weekend on 20th and 21st May. The list of activities, talks and entertainment seems be growing day-by-day and we’ll be seriously impressed if anybody fits it all in. Click HERE for the latest Open Weekend news and don’t forget to book your entry ticket and your lunch. Don’t forget, Friends of South Ormsby Estate can attend all events for free.
‘Tall Tree Tales’ is just one of the recent additions to the Open Weekend itinerary. Rodger from Lincs Wolds Countryside Service will be guiding a 3.75-mile walk around South Ormsby Estate with a focus on the magic of trees. You’ll see our woodland wonders through the eyes of storytellers and myth-makers and come away enchanted and informed. Booking isn’t required, but this one-off walk will depart the Lincs Wolds AONB stand promptly at 11am on Saturday 20th May.
