Support Us
7th July 2023Volunteers
If you’d like to help us make the South Ormsby Estate a better place to live, work, learn and play, there are lots of ways that you can volunteer to support us in achieving our vision.
We value the role of volunteers and the difference they can make and volunteering can be a great way to gain experience, share knowledge, learn new skills and play an active role in the community.
There are many ways that you can get involved; whether this is by sharing your experience and expertise with others, learning something new or by helping out where you can in the community.
In July 2023, we started a monthly volunteers club to help bring our volunteers together.
If you would like to join our volunteer club, please complete the form below and one of our team will get back to you.
The volunteers club meets on the third Friday of the month, and runs from 10am until 2pm. We’ll start each session with a cup of tea at the Walkers hut, and stop at 12pm for a lunch break at The Old School (please bring a packed lunch!) If you’d like to get out into the great outdoors, help out with the day-to-day running of a historic working estate, and socialize with new people, we’d love to hear from you!
Please be aware that most volunteering opportunities will require a reasonable degree of physical fitness, and may involve walking, lifting, gardening and digging.
If you would also like to get involved in ad-hoc volunteering opportunities, such as our cattle moves, open days, larger seasonal planting projects etc., you can let us know in the form below.
If you have any questions, please contact Mia at Mia.Bojen-Taylor@southormsbyestate.co.uk.
If you have skills you’d like to share, experience you’d like to gain or if you’d like to get involved with the management and conservation of the estate, contact enquiries@southormsbyestate.co.uk.
